The theatre features a unique architectural composition with Gothic and French Empire inspired interiors, including a 21 Rank Wurlitzer organ and a Koh-i-Noor cut crystal chandelier. It has been the premier venue for film screenings, live theatre, and musical performances, hosting the annual Sydney Film Festival since 1974.
